This document describes how to set personal preferences for the current user in a workspace.
Overview
Settings in DataBuddy are divided into space-level settings and user-level settings:
Space-level settings: take effect within a workspace (such as notification management and Git connections) and affect only the current workspace.
User-level settings: take effect only for the current user, across all workspaces, and do not affect other users.
Prerequisites
You have logged in to DataBuddy and joined at least one workspace. Personal preferences are available to all roles in all workspaces without special authorization.
Operation Steps
1. Go to Console > Platform Settings > Preferences, or enter any workspace and choose Workspace > Personal > Preferences in the left sidebar.
2. Preference settings currently support language settings, as well as DataBuddyAgent-related browser notifications, SQLExplain syntax validation, and automatic code execution and fixing. More configuration items may be added in the future:
|
Language | Set the display language for the console and workspace. Supported languages include Chinese and English. |
Browser notification | Specify whether the browser receives notifications when an Agent task has new progress or is completed. |
SQL Explain syntax validation | Specify whether Explain is automatically assembled for syntax validation and failure fixing after the Agent generates SQL. |
Automatic code running and fixing | Specify whether automatic running and diagnostic fixing are triggered after Buddy generates code in real time within the Studio module. |
Use Limits
Preference settings affect only the display in the DataBuddy Web console and do not affect the data format returned by the API.
Some external embedded pages, such as alarm content received in Slack / Teams, use the default DataBuddy Chinese and English templates and are not affected by user-level language preferences.
FAQs
Q1: Why doesn't the interface change immediately after the language is switched?
Refresh the browser page. If the issue persists, clear the browser cache and try again.
Q2: Why do preferences set in one workspace affect other workspaces?
Personal preferences are user-level configurations that take effect across all workspaces. This is expected behavior, designed to help you maintain a consistent experience across multiple workspaces.
